In this short course we will start by giving an introduction to classical modular forms, modular curves, and Galois representations associated to Hecke eigenforms. If time permits, we will discuss further topics, such as Hilbert modular forms, quaternionic modular forms, and the Jacquet-Langlands correspondence. Knowlegde of modular forms will not be required to understand the lectures.
